Copilot AI, developed by Microsoft, is coming to the living room, beginning with the 2025 series of smart TVs and monitors supplied by Samsung. To achieve this, the AI assistant is scheduled to assist the viewers in performing fast actions such as recommending films, providing synopses of the most recent episodes, and answering general enquiries without the involvement of an external gadget. Entertainment navigation is faster and interactive because users can call Copilot by voice or remote through a voice command.
Copilot appears on-screen as a friendly, cartoonish character resembling a wobbling beige ball, like the design Microsoft teased at the beginning of this year. Its responses are accompanied by an animated mouth that makes the AI look more approachable. Copilot is embedded in Samsung Tizen OS; it can be easily accessed through Samsung Daily Plus and Click to Search. Users can sign in to allow Copilot to retain previous conversations and preferences, as well as to make a personalised experience.
Where can use Copilot?
The AI assistant will be introduced in Samsung’s new Micro RGB, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame Pro, and The Frame TV in addition to the M7, M8, and M9 smart monitors. Once it is turned on, it will automatically display on supported devices and can be used to interact with voice at the touch of the mic button.
Microsoft has also attested that Copilot will not be Samsung-only. Later on, the company will roll out the feature on LG televisions, marking a broadening of its ambitions to add its AI to more common entertainment gadgets. The move makes Copilot an outright competitor to Google and Amazon’s built-in AI aids, increasing Microsoft’s presence in the smart home sphere.
