During Vikramotsav-2026 in Bhopal, CM Mohan Yadav extended best wishes for Gudi Padwa and Vikram Samvat 2083. He talked about adopting the ideals of Emperor Vikramaditya and working for the development of the society.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today is the holy day of Gudi Padwa. Indian New Year and New Year begins from this day. He said that this day marks the beginning of creation and is celebrated with full enthusiasm and happiness.
Importance of New Year and Indian Culture
The Chief Minister said that in Indian tradition, New Year is related to nature, creation and human life. It symbolizes not just a new year, but new energy and positive beginnings. He said that the beginning of the Samvat here is related to creation, nature and the efforts of the ruler.
Importance of Vikramaditya and Vikram Samvat 2083
Referring to Emperor Vikramaditya, the Chief Minister said that he defeated the Shakas and ended the anarchy spread in the society. He laid the foundation of social harmony by freeing his subjects from debt. Vikram Samvat, which started due to his efforts, has now entered the 2083rd year. He described Vikramaditya as the great hero of democracy.
Chief Minister’s address at Vikramotsav-2026 program
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the “Koti Surya Upasana” program under Vikramotsav-2026 organized at Rabindra Bhawan, Bhopal. During this, he greeted the people of the state on all the festivals like Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, New Year Vikram Samvat 2083, Ghat Sthapana, Navratri, Astrology Day and Navreh.
Brahma flag installation and message of unity
During the program, the Chief Minister installed the Brahma flag and said that this flag inspires us to unite and serve the country and the state. Throwing light on the purpose of Vikramotsav, he said that the governance system of Emperor Vikramaditya strengthened democratic values and showed the direction of public welfare to the coming rulers.
Democracy and identity of Indian society
The Chief Minister said that Indian society is disciplined and inclusive by nature. We move ahead with the spirit of “live and let live”. He said that due to the efforts of Emperor Vikramaditya, the principles of democracy are still a part of our lives and have become our identity.
Cultural presentation and honor in the program
A play based on Emperor Vikramaditya was also staged in the programme. The Chief Minister honored all the artists. On this occasion, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, new standards of good governance are being established in the state. The flame of democracy was lit from the land of Ujjain and today it is being strengthened further.
