Mercedes-Benz India Posts Record Third Quarter Sales; Spurred By Growth Across Segments

German luxury carmaker has just witnessed its best ever sales in the Indian market. The brand sold a record number of cars in the previous quarter as well as the first 9 months of 2026. As many as 5,422 vehicles were lapped up in Q3 2026 (July-September) which was 6 per cent more than the same period last year when a total of 5,119 units were sold. The performance was also 17 per cent better than the second quarter of 2026. The brand also saw highest-ever January–September numbers with 15,190 unit sales, an 8 per cent growth over 14,132 cars sold in the same period last year.

Growth was witnessed across all segment and powertrains. Top-End vehicles accounted for more than 25 per cent of sales which was a growth of 13 per cent when compared to 2025. These include the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach, EQS Maybach SUV, G-Class, V-Class and AMG models. AMG itself grew by 18 per cent growth with the G 63 recording its highest-ever monthly sales. The E-Class continued to be the highest selling Mercedes-Benz in India while electric car sales went up by 16 per cent. The EQS Maybach SUV stood out here with a growth of 68 per cent year-on-year.
