New Delhi: Mercedes has unveiled its new AMG CLE 53 Coupe in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.35 crore. This new CLE Coupe is part of the series of previous-generation C-Class and E-Class coupes. In India, Mercedes also introduced its convertible version of the CLE 300 AMG Line guise.
However, the brand has put its new CLE 53 Coupe above the CLE 300 cabriolet. The latest CLE coupe comes with a total of 10 models in AMG’s India lineup.
CLE 53 Coupe Interior
From the inside, the CLE 53 dashboard gives the same vibes as the C-Class with an 11.9-inch touchscreen. For the driver, it has a 12.3-inch display, comes with circular AC vents. It has a four-spoke steering wheel geared up with two rotary dials to perform tasks like drive modes and suspension, and exhaust settings. The steering wheels also have a touch button.
The new CLE 53 Coupe comes with a 2+2 seating structure, and for the back seats, it comes with a middle partition with a storage compartment. Although the seats are foldable, which allows the driver to increase the boot space.
CLE 53 Coupe Exterior
The new CLE comes with a digital LED headlamp along with a DRL strip above it, which looks like a brow to it. The headlamp also has two different LED lights just underneath. For the front look, the car has a Panamericana grille and the AMG spec bumper, while Mercedes introduces its CLE 53 in Yellow colour to make the grille black, which makes a good colour contrast, with a gloss finish. In some features, it has similarities with the C Class.
The car comes with a long bonnet along with two door openings and a sunroof. It comes with 19-inch wheels, while it has the option to get 20-inch wheels.
CLE 53 Coupe Powertrain
The CLE 53 Coupe has a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder 3.0-litre petrol engine which produces 450hp and 560 Nm. It also has a 48V mild hybrid assist that allows another 23hp during hard acceleration. The engine is geared up with a nine-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels via the 4Matic system.
According to Mercedes, this car can go 0 to 100kph in a time of 4.2 seconds and have a top speed of 250kph. For AMG drivers package the optional speed is 270kph.
