Mehwish Ali: Pakistan suffered a major setback during the WSF Czech Junior Open 2026 tournament being played in the Czech Republic. This tournament is a great platform for top young squash players from around the world and also provides international ranking points. During the semi-final match of this tournament, Pakistani junior squash star Mehwish Ali’s health suddenly deteriorated, due to which the medical team immediately helped him and he was admitted to the ICU.

Pakistan’s emerging talent Mehwish Ali was performing tremendously in the semi-final match. She was leading by two games, when suddenly she faced health problems in the middle of the match. Due to this incident the game was stopped immediately. The medical team helped him, but considering the seriousness of his health, he was admitted to the ICU, where his monitoring and treatment is ongoing. At present, not many updates have been revealed about his health.
This incident has proved to be a shock for the entire Pakistani squash team and fans. Mehwish Ali has performed brilliantly in many international junior tournaments in recent years and remains a strong face of the new generation of Pakistan squash. Due to this incident, he had to be out of this tournament, due to which his hopes of reaching the final after the semi-finals were shattered. According to some reports, Mehwish is out of danger, he has regained consciousness and his condition is stable.
