Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority: A large industrial initiative has started from Greater Noida. Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) has allocated 190 acres to Escorts Kubota Limited due to Yogi Adityanath government’s investor-interest policies. This land has been given to set up a tractor construction unit on Sector-10, Yamuna Expressway.
Who are Escorts Kubota?
Escorts (Indian company) and Japanese giant Kubota partnered in the year 2019. The two companies together are developing affordable and modern tractors for the Indian and international market. Now this partnership is going to give Uttar Pradesh a new identity globally.

How much will be investment and employment?
Escorts Kubota signed an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh government on 17 August 2024. There will be a total investment of Rs 4500 crore under this project. The company plans to provide employment to more than 4000 people in a phased manner.
What will be made in the first phase?
About 2000 crores will be invested in the first phase. It will have a tractor manufacturing plant, engine and commercial equipment units. The company will expand it after the market demand and the success of the first phase.
What will be the benefit of UP?
Uttar Pradesh will benefit from this project at many levels.
- The state will get the benefit of both foreign and domestic investment.
- Local youth will get new employment opportunities.
- The “Make in India” campaign will be strengthened.
- UP will emerge as a global research and manufacturing hub.
The company will supply not only to India but also international markets from here. Also, there is a plan to make India a center of common services for Global Research and Development (R&D) of Kubota.
