When a movie is released, there are high hopes not just from the actor’s side but also from the people who worked behind the scenes. And this is exactly what happened with this man whose life changed after a film like Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
While you may think he is an actor, let us tell you that we’re talking about someone who worked behind the scenes. The man in question is Mumtaz Ansari, a resident of Hazaribagh district, who is an art set designer and has been working in Mumbai for the last 32 years.
Mumtaz has worked in over 100 films, and during his journey, he struggled a lot. After experiencing both highs and lows – and without giving up – Mumtaz established himself in the industry.
In an interview with Shosha News18, Mumtaz shared that he suffered from poverty in the initial years of his life. As a result, he wanted to earn money and went outside to do so.
After doing many small jobs, he became a part of a set designer group. From there, his journey began, and gradually, he started doing independent work, including set designing for many TV serials.
He got his break with Hum Aapke Hain Koun. He revealed that he worked as a junior set designer on the film. Since then, he has contributed to many popular films. He designed the sets for recent movies like Emergency and Ram Setu, and also worked on Anurag Kashyap’s acclaimed film Gangs of Wasseypur.
Mumtaz Ansari further says that the world of films not only gave him name and fame but also improved the financial condition of his family. Today, he owns luxurious houses in cities like Mumbai, Ranchi, and Hazaribagh.
