Medanta Super Specialty Hospital Noida: CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Medanta Super Specialty Hospital in Noida. He appreciated the service, employment and technical health facilities of the hospital and pointed out the need for a new center in Eastern UP.
Noida, November 27: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Medanta Super Specialty Hospital in Noida on Thursday. The CM inspected the arrangements of the hospital and described it as an excellent center for quality health services. He said that it is not just a super specialty hospital, but it is also a source of employment and huge investment in UP. Praising Medanta, the CM said that name is enough and working hard in the right direction leads to good results. He said that Medanta has become a trusted brand in the country.
Medanta made his mark in Lucknow also
CM Yogi said that many people were skeptical about the opening of Medanta in Lucknow after Gurgaon, but Medanta made its mark here too with its excellent service. During Covid, this hospital proved to be very helpful for the people of UP. The CM said that there was a demand for a better hospital in Western UP for a long time and praised the services here.
Health care became easier for the poor
CM said that 8-10 years ago, treatment of serious diseases like kidney, cancer, liver cirrhosis and bypass surgery was difficult for the poor. People used to get treatment by selling land or mortgaging their jewellery. In the last 6-7 years, under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana, free healthcare services worth up to Rs 5 lakh are being provided annually to 50 crore people in the country. The UP government further expanded its scope and included the needy also.
Rs 1300 crore for health care from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
CM Yogi said that Rs 1300 crore was made available for health care of the poor in a year from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Its objective is that the poor should also be entitled to better health facilities.
Big progress in health sector in UP in 8 years
CM said that UP has taken better steps in health care in the last 8 years. Earlier UP was known for “One District, One Mafia”. Now the facilities of medical colleges and good hospitals are being ensured in every district. He said that the rules for building the hospital were eased, like the width of the road was reduced from 18 meters to 7 meters. The result is that people are now coming to UP for health facilities on a large scale.
Better healthcare using technology and AI
CM said that today 10 crore people are connected to health facilities through Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Center of Excellence (MedTech) has been created in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. CM said that better services can be provided to the general public by using technology and AI. It is a big deal to have all the facilities under one roof.
Patient’s trust in doctor and memoir
CM Yogi shared that patients have great faith in doctors. He narrated the story of his guru, who was 94 years old and was hesitant to go to the hospital despite health problems. With the advice of the doctor, his treatment was possible and he recovered.
Technical health care in remote areas
CM said that during the time of Covid, Virtual ICU was started on Hub and Spoke model. Now SGPGI Lucknow and Medanta Lucknow have implemented it in remote areas. He said that in minor cases like cold or viral fever, expenses can be reduced by providing tele-consultation facility.

Center for Encephalitis Control and Eastern UP
CM Yogi mentioned the old crisis of encephalitis in eastern UP. From 1977 to 2017, 1200-1500 children died during the rainy season. He said that after becoming the Chief Minister in 2017, this disease was controlled in just two years by running a special campaign. CM said that God has given power to the hands and tongue of doctors, with the help of which they can save the patients. He urged Medanta to set up new centers in Eastern UP, so that better health care can reach Gorakhpur, Varanasi, North-West Bihar and Nepal.
