Donald Trump has imposed 25 percent tariff on India

There is talk of trade agreement between India and the US. Trump has also warned of additional fine on India on purchasing Russian weapons and oil. He has called India’s economy dead.

He appealed to Indians to prioritize local products and unite in front of rising global economic uncertainty. In a public meeting in Varanasi, PM Modi warned that the world economy is entering a period of instability and uncertainty. Now the time has come for every Indian, whether it is of any political ideology, and supports the local economy by rising above favoritism.
The Prime Minister said, “It is not just a matter of Modi’s saying, but every Indian should say this. If we want India to become the third largest economy, every political party and every leader will have to leave their hesitation and work in the national interest. People will have to awaken the spirit of indigenous.”
