New Delhi: Gold and silver have started shining even before Dhanteras and Diwali festivals. In the last two to three days, the riise in prices hacve continued for the precious metals. Today, the rising trend continues. On the Multi Commodity Exchange i.e. MCX, gold increased by Rs 1876 to Rs 126,505 per 10 grams, while silver jumped to Rs 160,830 rupees per kg, setting a record high on MCX. The white metal gained Rs 6,185.
Apart from the domestic Indian market, gold also jumped in the international market. Spot gold was trading at $4161 per ounce with a rise of 3.60 percent. This rise in precious metals is due to growing concern over US tariffs and expectations of further interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve. Investors are investing money in gold, which is considered a safe investment instead of the stock market, which continues to increase its demand.
In the previous session, MCX gold appreciated 2.6 percent to Rs 1,24,562 per 10 grams and MCX silver settled at Rs 1,54,650 rupees per kilogram with a huge increase of 5.6 percent.
Gold and silver retail prices
The price of 24-carat gold on Tanishq’s website was recorded at Rs 125840 per 10 grams on 14th October, as compared tp Rs 124690 per 10 grams on October 13. The price of 22 karat gold was recorded at Rs 1,15,350 rupees per 10 grams today, whereas on Monday, it was priced at Rs 1,14,300 per 10 grams
According to the bullion website, the retail price of silver, was recorded at Rs 1,62,140 per kg, which means its retail prices increased by Rs 7260 as compared to Monday’s rates.
