Let me tell you that there was a landslide due to cloudburst in the Adhikwari area in Trikuta hills of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. 34 pilgrims were killed and 20 people were injured in the accident. The yatra was stopped with immediate effect after the accident.
Vaishno Devi Yatra will start from this day
Officials say this decision was taken in view of the safety of the pilgrims. Now it has been decided to restart the yatra after the situation is improving and repairing the repair work. After the landslide, most of the repair work of the road leading to the cave temple has been completed. In the last few weeks in Jammu and Kashmir, due to heavy rains and natural disasters, people were swept away and many people lost their lives.
