Viksit UP 2047: Uttar Pradesh government has taken concrete steps towards disaster management, poverty alleviation and economic progress. Satellite technology set a target of disaster control, bringing 6 crore people out of poverty and creating a $ 6 trillion economy by 2047.
Uttar Pradesh is now ready to take a new flight of development. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has resolved to take the state to such heights in the coming 22 years, keeping the vision of “developed UP 2047”, where complete preparations to deal with disasters and poverty is almost over. It is not only a roadmap for economic progress, but the roadmap of every citizen’s safe and respectable life.
New era of technology in disaster management
The Uttar Pradesh government is going to launch its satellite in collaboration with ISRO, which will provide real-time information of disasters like floods, earthquakes and heatwaves. This step will make the state self -sufficient in the field of disaster management.
- Heat action plan implemented in Lucknow, Agra and Varanasi
- Hap will soon be implemented in Kanpur and Prayagraj
- 34 districts declared sensitive from terms of earthquake
- Preparation of mock drills in malls, hospitals, schools and railway premises

Strike on poverty: 6 crore people out of poverty line
Between 2015-16 and 2022-23, UP’s poverty rate declined by 20.28 points, which is better than the national average (13.57).

Economic targets: 6 trillion economy by 2047
The state government has targeted to take UP’s GSDP to 6 trillion dollars by 2047.
- Current GSDP: $ 353 billion
- Target by 2030: $ 1000 billion
- Target by 2036: $ 2000 billion
- Target by 2047: To achieve 6000 billion dollars ($ 6 trillion), the state will have to maintain a 16% annual growth rate.
Before 2017 and now
Before 2017, UP was backward on both disaster management and economic progress. But now the state’s picture has changed due to technology, transparency and efficient administration. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says that “Developed UP will not only stand on economic development, but will stand on a strong foundation for disaster management, poverty alleviation and social security.”
