In Monthly Shivratri, fasting is observed throughout the day and Lord Shiva is worshiped at night. On Tuesday, March 17, the puja time for Shivratri fast will be from 12:05 am to 12:53 pm. That means the devotees will get full 48 minutes time to worship Mahadev. Follow the rules of fasting throughout the day. You can eat fruits once in a while. Start the puja at an auspicious time at night. Anoint the Shivalinga with pure water and then light the lamp. Offer flowers, Bilva leaves, Dhatura etc. things to Shivalinga.
