Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the Brezza Facelift on July 23, making it one of the brand’s biggest SUV launches of the year. While the compact SUV will retain its familiar silhouette, it is expected to receive several cosmetic updates, new technology and a fresh turbo-petrol engine to better compete with rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
Here’s everything we know so far.
Sharper styling with a refreshed front end
The facelifted Brezza is expected to receive noticeable styling revisions without altering its overall proportions.
At the front, the SUV is likely to feature new dual square-shaped projector LED headlamps, redesigned LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a revised bonnet and an updated grille with a new chrome insert. The front bumper is also expected to be redesigned with a silver skid plate for a more rugged appearance.
Maruti Suzuki’s teaser featuring actor Kartik Aaryan also hints at a black exterior with red accents, which is expected to be reserved for the new turbo-petrol variant.

New alloy wheels and connected tail lamps
From the side, the Brezza facelift is expected to remain largely unchanged, although it may receive new diamond-cut alloy wheels and thicker body cladding to give it a stronger road presence.
At the rear, the SUV is likely to get connected LED tail lamps with revised lighting elements, along with a mildly updated rear bumper.
Bigger touchscreen and more premium features
Inside the cabin, the overall dashboard layout is expected to remain familiar, but the feature list could see a significant upgrade.
Expected additions include:
- Larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Fully digital instrument cluster
- Paddle shifters on automatic variants
- Ventilated front seats
- Wireless smartphone connectivity
- Updated connected car technology
- Enhanced safety features
These additions are expected to help the Brezza better compete with feature-rich rivals in the compact SUV segment.
New turbo-petrol engine expected
One of the biggest updates could come under the bonnet.
The facelift is expected to retain the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 101 hp and 136 Nm, along with the CNG option.

In addition, Maruti Suzuki is likely to introduce the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx. The engine produces 98 bhp and 147 Nm and is expected to be paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
The smaller turbo engine could improve performance while also helping Maruti Suzuki benefit from tax advantages available to sub-four-metre vehicles powered by engines under 1.2 litres.
CNG model to become more practical
CNG version is also expected to receive a practical upgrade.
Instead of occupying luggage space, the facelifted Brezza could feature an underbody-mounted CNG tank, freeing up boot space and making the SUV more practical for everyday use.
New variant names and bookings
Maruti Suzuki is also expected to revise the Brezza’s variant lineup.
Instead of the current LXi, VXi and ZXi trims, the SUV is likely to be offered in six variants: L, L(O), V, Z, Z(O) and Z+.
Bookings for the Brezza facelift are already open, with customers able to reserve the SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. Like the current model, it will continue to be sold through Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships.
Expected pricing
While official prices will be announced at launch on July 23, the Brezza facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the outgoing model, thanks to its updated styling, additional features and the introduction of a new turbo-petrol engine. It will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq and Nissan Magnite.
