Soldier Compensation Chhattisgarh: In the meeting of the State Sainik Board in Chhattisgarh, the ex -gratia amount of the dependents of the martyred soldiers was increased from 20 lakhs to 50 lakhs and the amount of Paramveer Chakra winners was 1 crore. Divyang and ex -servicemen will also get increased benefits.

A big announcement has been made for the families of brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in protecting the soil of the country. The Chhattisgarh government has decided to increase the ex -gratia amount given to the wife or dependents of the martyred soldiers from 20 lakh rupees to 50 lakh rupees. At the same time, the ex -gratia amount of the brave soldiers received from Paramveer Chakra has been increased from 40 lakhs to 1 crore rupees. This historical decision was taken in the meeting of the State Sainik Board held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.

Government’s big step for the welfare of soldiers

In this meeting held at the Ministry of Mahanadi Bhavan, Chief Minister Sai said that our soldiers are ready to protect the country day and night and sacrifice their lives. In such a situation, the government is always committed to the welfare of ex -servicemen and their families while bowing to their valor and sacrifice.

Many major changes in grace and facilities

Many important decisions were taken in the meeting:

  • 50 lakh rupees for martyred soldiers’s wife or dependents
  • Paramveer Chakra winners now Rs 1 crore
  • Parents of soldiers increased the prize money from 5 thousand to 20 thousand rupees per year
  • The ex -gratia amount of soldiers in the war increased from 10 lakh rupees to 30 lakh rupees
  • Ex -servicemen, widows and serving soldiers on first home/land purchase up to Rs 25 lakh

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, MP Raipur Brijmohan Agrawal, Army and many senior officers of the administration were present in the meeting. Progress report of the activities of the Sainik Welfare Department and the decisions taken in the previous meeting was also presented.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said,

“It is the responsibility of the government to welfare the brave sons that offer life in the service of Mother India. The decisions taken today will give direct benefit to the families of martyrs and ex -servicemen.”
