Market Cap of Top Eight Firms Soars by ₹2 Lakh Crore; Bharti Airtel Emerges as Biggest Gainer

 New Delhi, 16 November (H.S.): During the past week of trading on the domestic stock market, eight of the top ten most-valued companies on the BSE collectively added over ₹2 lakh crore to their market capitalization .

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries were the most significant beneficiaries of this surge .

Conversely, the market caps of two of the top ten firms saw a combined decline of more than ₹39,000 crore .In the trading week from November 10 to 14, the market capitalization of Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ICICI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Infosys, HDFC Bank, and Hindustan Unilever collectively grew by ₹2,05,185.08 crore .

In contrast, Bajaj Finance and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) experienced a combined erosion of ₹39,414.06 crore in their market valuations .Bharti Airtel’s market cap surged by ₹55,652.54 crore to reach ₹11,96,700.84 crore . Similarly, Reliance Industries saw its valuation jump by ₹54,941.84 crore to ₹20,55,379.61 crore .

Other notable gainers included TCS, with an increase of ₹40,757.45 crore to ₹11,23,416.17 crore, and ICICI Bank, which rose by ₹20,834.35 crore to ₹9,80,374.43 crore . SBI’s market cap climbed by ₹10,522.90 crore to ₹8,92,923.79 crore, while Infosys added ₹10,448.32 crore to its valuation, which now stands at ₹6,24,198.80 crore.HDFC Bank’s market cap increased by ₹9,149.13 crore to ₹15,20,524.34 crore, and Hindustan Unilever’s valuation went up by ₹2,878.25 crore to ₹5,70,187.06 crore .

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance’s market cap fell by ₹30,147.94 crore to ₹6,33,573.38 crore, and LIC’s valuation decreased by ₹9,266.12 crore to ₹5,75,100.42 crore .In terms of overall market capitalization, Reliance Industries remained the country’s most valuable company with a market cap of ₹20,55,379.61 crore .

It was followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), and Hindustan Unilever, which rounded out the top ten list .
