Mark your calendar: News9 Global Summit back with bang in Germany’s Stuttgart from October 9-10

New Delhi: The TV9 Network is back with the second edition of the highly anticipated News9 Global Summit to be held once again in Stuttgart in Germany. This year, the prestigious summit that acts as a bridge between India and Germany, will take place from October 9 to 10.

The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Democracy, Demography, Development: The India-Germany Connect’. The summit showcases the nurtured relationship shared by the two countries, and how they came together to propagate development and uphold the tenets of democracy. The second edition of the News9 Global Summit, like the previous one, is expected to further strengthen the ties between the two friendly nations.

Last year, the summit’s theme was “India and Germany: A Roadmap for Sustainable Growth”. It was a landmark event in every sense, as it united prominent voices from politics, business, sports, and policymaking to explore strategies for a sustainable future. The keynote address was delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually, and he shared his vision on “India: Inside the Global Bright Spot”.

The objective of the mega News9 Global Summit is to strengthen the relationship between India and Germany, and this was highlighted last year by Barun Das, MD and CEO of TV9 Network. He said, “The News9 Global Summit aims to deepen bilateral relations between India and Germany, bringing together stakeholders from diverse fields to develop actionable solutions for mutual growth. As Europe’s largest economy, Germany is a key partner for India, and this summit marks the first such initiative by an Indian news media organisation.”

The opening address of the summit

The News9 Global summit will kick off on October 9, 2025, at 9:30 am with an address on ‘India & Germany: The Land Beckons’. Germany, the land where engineering has excelled, where innovation reigns supreme, where advanced manufacturing and sustainable industrial development are the envy of others. For India, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, the German opportunity is both strategic and transformative. The opening address will be delivered by Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, who lays out how Germany’s industrial heartland, Baden-Württemberg, is inviting deeper Indian engagement across critical sectors. It will explore that beyond business, Germany is actively building bridges with India to co-create value in a changing global order.

Among other sessions, there will be an address on ’25 Years of Strategic Partnership Democracy, Demography, Development: The India-Germany Connect’ on the opening day. India and Germany’s strategic partnership is now 25 years old, and on this occasion, the keynote address will revisit a bilateral journey grounded in democratic values and reinforced by shared ambitions in trade, sustainability, and innovation. Amid the realignment of global supply chains and the increasing momentum of the EU-India Free Trade Agreement, the two nations are going to deepen their collaboration, technologically, culturally and economically.
