Maratha Quota: Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarang ended his indefinite fast at Azad Maidan after accepting the government proposal (GR) submitted by the Maharashtra Cabinet Sub-Committee. During this time he had tears in his eyes and described it as “Diwali” for the community. While carrying the ambulance from the picket site, he said,

Maratha Vijay Jhala today Vijay Jhala, Sukhi Jhala (Maratha has won today and we are happy).

Manoj Jarange said- Today is Diwali for us

Jarang said, “Today is Diwali for us, because we found what we wanted.” The protesters performed Ganpati Aarti for thanking God. Jarang said that after Aarti, the protests would formally terminate.

Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil thanked Jarange

Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, head of the cabinet sub -committee, thanked Jarang for accepting the government’s proposal and breaking his fast by drinking juice. In a post on X, Vikhe Patil spoke about the discussion of the Maharashtra State Cabinet Subcommittee regarding the demands raised by Jarange Patil. Said that the government is “taking positive steps for the just demands of the Maratha community”.

Jarange went on hunger strike for 5 days
The hunger strike at Azad Maidan of Maratha reservation activist Jarang entered its fifth day on Tuesday. Earlier, the Maratha Kota case was postponed by the Bombay High Court on Wednesday. It said that he expects some development till then.
