Nagpur: CPI (Maoist) has recently sent a new message to its scattered cadre. The Central Military Commission of the group has given instructions to celebrate PLGA Week between 2 and 8 December. The move came just a day after anti-Naxal operations by the central and state governments, indicating that the Maoists are still ready to fight.

The CMC described the anniversary as “a moment of courage after one of the bloodiest years of the revolutionary organization.” For the last two and a half decades, Maoists have been celebrating this week in memory of their slain comrades. But this time the message is different: It seems to be a direct challenge to the government and security forces.
