New Delhi: Team India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant sustained a foot injury on the opening day of the fourth Test at Old Trafford in Manchester on Wednesday, July 23. He attempted to play a reverse sweep against Chris Woakes, but the ball took the inside edge and hit onto his front boot.
Pant couldn’t even stand after the blow and called for the physio for treatment. There was a big swelling and some blood on his right foot. However, as the treatment needed more time, the officials asked him the physio to carry him off the field. Pant was batting on 37 off 48 deliveries when he was carried off.
