In the viral video, two men can be seen near the dam, one is peacefully swimming in a narrow stream, and shockingly, just a few feet away, the other man is seen urinating directly into the same water. The person recording the clip can be heard warning the swimmer after noticing what was happening.
People are now questioning whether visiting natural water spots like this is even safe anymore. Bhushi Dam is a popular monsoon destination in Maharashtra, especially loved for its flowing stairways, mini waterfalls, and lush views. Every year, hundreds of people come here to relax and enjoy, but this recent clip has raised serious questions about public hygiene and behaviour.
Now, this latest Bhushi Dam video has once again brought attention to the lack of basic civic sense in public places. Netizens are demanding stricter rules and better awareness so that natural tourist spots aren’t turned into health hazards.

This incident has left social media users angry and disgusted. The video was posted on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Zero civic sense! One guy is enjoying the bath while the other one is pissing in the stream. This is the reason why I’ve stopped going in pools & such streams.”
“India will never be a clean country in our lifetime when we have such ghatiya people,” a user wrote. “Normalize calling out people who do this instead of just complaining online – public shaming works wonders for civic sense,” a second user wrote. “If Indians had remained slaves for 200 more years, they would have learned some civic sense,” added a third user.

“Aise logon ko to wahingirakrmaarnachahiye. Log kuchkehtenhi h bs isliye hi ye log itnegandetareh se dusronke moments bhibarbadkrdetehai,” added a fourth user. “I have stopped going to Water Parks/swimming pools long ago because of this. filthy, dirty water,” a fifth user wrote. “This and people peeing right by the side of the road with running traffic… such an unpleasant sight,” added another user.
