Malavika Mohanan has recalled an encouraging experience involving Trisha Krishnan from the sets of ‘Petta’, describing the senior actor’s kindness towards her as something that made a lasting impression.
Malavika was relatively new to Tamil cinema when she worked on Karthik Subbaraj’s Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Petta’. Her portions were filmed around Varanasi, where she also had scenes with Trisha.
According to Malavika, Trisha made an effort to ensure that she felt comfortable on the sets. The senior actor reportedly included her in conversations and plans while they were staying at the same hotel.
Malavika said such warmth stood out to her because people in the industry can sometimes remain within their own circles, particularly when there is a difference in experience and seniority.
The connection continued even after the filming of ‘Petta’. When Malavika later joined Vijay’s ‘Master’, Trisha personally congratulated her through a message.
‘Master’, released in 2021, went on to become a major commercial success and became an important film in Malavika’s Tamil career.
Malavika began her acting career with the Malayalam film ‘Pattam Pole’ alongside Dulquer Salmaan. She later worked across Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu cinema.
Trisha, meanwhile, remains one of the prominent names in South Indian cinema, with films such as ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan: II’ and ‘Leo’ among her recent credits.
