Popular South Indian actress Malavika Mohanan is gearing up for the release of her much-anticipated film, ‘Sardar 2’. In a recent interaction on social media, she expressed her desire to take on a gangster role in the future.
During a Q&A session with fans, one admirer asked her about the types of roles she would like to pursue. Malavika confidently replied, “I want to play a gangster.”
She also shared insights about her co-star Karthi from ‘Sardar 2’. When another fan inquired about their shared love for food, the actress noted, “We both love food and snacking. I enjoy snacking anytime, anywhere, and I felt that Karthi is just like me during promotions.”
In ‘Sardar 2’, Malavika stars alongside Karthi in lead roles. Directed by P.S. Mithran, this film is a sequel to the hit movie ‘Sardar’ released in 2022. It also serves as a prequel, delving into the backstory of agent Sardar (Chandrabose) and his son, Vijay Prakash.
The first installment addressed the issue of water commercialization, becoming a significant blockbuster. In this sequel, the director aims to highlight health and hygiene concerns. Karthi reprises his dual role as both father (Chandrabose, aka Sardar) and son (Inspector Vijay Prakash). The storyline revolves around an unfinished mission from Chandrabose’s past that resurfaces as a new international threat.
In ‘Sardar 2’, S.J. Surya plays the formidable antagonist known as the ‘Black Dagger’, presenting a major challenge for Karthi’s character. The film also features Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, and Rajisha Vijayan in key roles, alongside Yogi Babu and other notable actors. Scheduled for release on September 10, the film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
