try shrikhand
If you want a creamy dessert then Shrikhand is a great dessert. Just for this, you have to tie the full cream curd in a muslin cloth and hang it somewhere at night so that all the water gets drained out of it. Beat this curd well. Add powdered sugar to it and then add cardamom powder, saffron water and mix well again. Garnish with slivers of almonds and pistachios for crunchy flavor in Shrikhand. This should also be served chilled.

Creamy Mishti Doi
On Diwali, try Mishti Doi, the famous traditional sweet of Bengal. For this, boil the milk till it thickens and then cool it till it becomes lukewarm. After this add jaggery powder or powdered sugar in it. Along with this, also add cardamom powder and churned curd. Put two spoons of curd in an earthen vessel, spread it and pour the prepared milk into it. Now add one teaspoon water in a pan and caramelize the sugar. Apply its layer on top of milk. After this, keep it in a dark place at normal temperature. Mishti Doi sets in about 10 hours. Therefore it is better to prepare it at night.

Basundi is a recipe from Maharashtra
During the festive season of Diwali, you can make Basundi which tastes amazing. For this, pour milk in a pan and then dissolve custard powder in some cold milk and mix it in the milk, keep stirring it continuously. Grind almonds, cashews, sugar, saffron, cardamom and chironji in a grinder and mix it. When it boils, add chopped almonds also. After this, grate khoya and mix it in. Serve Basundi in an earthen pot.

Make Baklava at home
