Ingredients for making shampoo
To make herbal shampoo, you need 1 cup shikakai, same amount of reetha, one-third cup dry amla, rice 1 spoon, fenugreek seeds one spoon, 2 spoons flax seeds, 1 glass water, hibiscus flowers two bowls, rosemary 2 spoons, aloe vera gel 4 spoons or one medium sized aloe vera leaf. How to make shampoo
- First of all, soak Amla, Shikakai and Reetha in 4 glasses of water overnight so that all these things swell properly.
- In the morning, take out the reetha seeds and separate them. After this, crush Shikakai and Amla a little so that its extract comes out properly.
- In a big pan, put the entire mixture of Amla, Shikakai and water on the gas. Mix chopped rose hips, fenugreek seeds and aloe vera leaves and also add hibiscus flowers and let it boil.
- When all these things boil for a while, add flaxseeds, add rice and also add reetha. After some time it will start becoming like gel. Switch off the gas at that stage.
- When the entire mixture cools down, filter it thoroughly with a light cotton cloth and then fill it in a container or bottle and store it.Note: If you feel that it is not creating much lather in your hair, then you can add fragrance free shampoo base to it, but add it only in very small quantity. In this way, your chemical-free herbal shampoo is ready at home.
