Ingredients to make Amla Murabba:
Amla 500 grams, Jaggery 500 grams, Cardamom powder half spoon, Black salt: half spoon, Dry ginger powder half spoon, Water as required.
How to prepare Amla?

First step: First of all, wash the gooseberries thoroughly and soak them in water overnight. Next morning, take out the gooseberries from the water and make deep holes in each gooseberry with the help of a fork. With this, the syrup will get absorbed well inside the gooseberries.

second step: After that keep water in a big vessel to heat. When the water boils, put the gooseberries in it. Let the gooseberries cook in water on medium flame for about 7 to 8 minutes, until they become slightly soft. When the gooseberries become soft, take them out of the water and keep them in a separate vessel.

Third step: Now melt jaggery in a pan. Cook it on low flame while stirring continuously, until the jaggery dissolves and a thick syrup is formed. You don’t have to make a string syrup, just get a little sticky and thick. Add boiled gooseberries in the prepared syrup. Now add cardamom powder, black salt and dry ginger powder and mix well.

fourth step: Cook the gooseberry syrup on low flame for 30 minutes until it becomes thick. After some time, turn off the gas and let the marmalade cool completely. Once cooled, store this jam in an air-tight glass jar.
