In the year 2026, the Sun will move out of Sagittarius and enter Capricorn at around 3 pm on Wednesday, January 14. Therefore, the next day i.e. 15th January will be considered as the auspicious time of Makar Sankranti. That is, the significance of bathing and donation related to Makar Sankranti will be on 15th January, Thursday.
