According to local officials, the fire started near Gate 8 at around 2:30 am. Fire service spokesman Talha bin Jashim said nine firefighting units were immediately dispatched to extinguish the blaze and 15 more units were on the way. Talha bin Zassim later confirmed that 28 units were actively working to contain the fire, and further reinforcements were available if needed.
