Major Club T20 tournament quarter-finalists found

The top four teams from each of the two groups qualified for the quarter-finals which will take place on 9 September.

From Group A, Tamil Union, Moors SC, CCC and Police SC came through while from Group B, SSC, Ace Capitals CC, NCC and Panadura SC.

The quarter-final line up:

Four of these clubs will not have the services of their national cricketers who are in England for the three-match T20I series. Mostly hit is NCC who are without Kamil Mishara, Pathum Nissanka, Lahiru Udara and Dushmantha Chameera (although he did not play in any of the Major Club games).

Second worst hit are CCC who have lost the services of Kamindu Mendis, Pavan Rathnayake and Nuwan Thushara, while SSC are without Dunith Wellalage and Tamil Union sans Tharindu Rathnayake.

Wanindu Hasaranga (CCC), Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka (both SSC) and Lahiru Kumara (NCC) who is not part of the Sri Lanka squad to England – will also be missed although they have not played a single match for their respective clubs as they have been involved with franchise cricket in the Caribbean.
