Where Tejashwi Yadav’s Grand Alliance (INDIA Bloc) has tried to attract women by announcing Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana in its manifesto ‘Bihar ka Tejashwi Pran’. Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana
On 28 October 2025, the Grand Alliance announced ‘Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana’ in its manifesto. In this, every woman will be given financial assistance of Rs 2,500 every month i.e. Rs 30,000 annually. The scheme will come into effect from December 2025, if the coalition comes to power. This scheme has been promised to continue for 5 years i.e. there will be a total direct benefit of Rs 1.5 lakh. Apart from this, under this scheme, there is guarantee of education, training, income support for daughters and house, food and income for women.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has already implemented ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana’ on behalf of NDA in September 2025. The objective of this scheme is to make women self-reliant and provide employment opportunities. In this, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 is given as the first installment. After 6 months, additional assistance up to Rs 2 lakh is given as per the valuation of the business. This money is sent to the bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Its benefit will be available only to those women whose age is between 18 to 60 years, whose husband or wife is not an income tax payer and who does not do any government job.
