Raigarh Gharana Kathak Performance: Miscellaneous arts were performed on the 8th day of the Chakradhar ceremony of Raipur. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale launched. Mallakhamb Dal and other artists of Abujhmad gave great performances.

Chakradhar Samaroh 2025 Raipur: The eighth day of the internationally renowned Chakradhar ceremony was filled with different cultural glimpses and unique shadows of folk classical arts. On the eighth day of Sur, Taal, verses and Ghungroo held at Ramlila Maidan, the live performances of the artists made the audience emotional and brought the dignity of the ceremony to new heights. The program was inaugurated by Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India Shri Ramdas Athawale inaugurated the ceremony by offering flowers on the portrait of Lord Shri Ganesh, offering flowers on the portrait of Raja Chakradhar and lighting the lamp. Addressing the program, Union Minister of State Shri Ramdas Athawale said that Raja Chakradhar Singh is not only of Raigad, but the pride of the whole country. He was a great ruler, social worker and music seeker. He worked for the upliftment of the poor, farmers, laborers and tribal society and established a ‘Raigad Gharana’ by giving a new dimension to Kathak. Today, this musical heritage is not only getting respect in the country, but in the whole world. Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, Municipal Corporation Raigad Mayor Shri Jeevardhan Chauhan and many public representatives and dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The main attraction of the eighth day at the Chakradhar ceremony was the famous Mallakhamba party of Abujhmad. His exciting performances encouraged the audience to echo the auditorium with applause. On this occasion, Ashika Singhal of Raipur, Sangeeta Kapse Sangeet Kala Akademi Raipur, Durg’s Devika Dixit, Mrs. Vasanti Vaishnav of Bilaspur and Team, Mrs. Nilangi Kalantare of Jabalpur and Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Jena of Bangalore mesmerized the audience with various styles of Kathak. Mrs. Ajit Kumari Kujur of Raipur tied up with Bharatanatyam and Shri Arnav Chatterjee of Mumbai tied Sama with sweet singing. On the occasion of Chakradhar celebrations, Padmashree Late. A special poetry evening was organized in the memory of Dr. Surendra Dubey. Poets’ performances saw a beautiful confluence of humor, heroic rasa and satire. The audience kept encouraging poets with applause for a long time.

Chakradhar became unforgettable at the time when the Mallakhamb team led by Shri Manoj Prasad, who came from Abujhmad, entered the stage. With tradition, discipline and amazing balance, the players demonstrated that the entire venue was thrilled. India’s Got Talent Season-10 winners Narendra Gota and Phulasingh Salaam, who reached the international stage from small villages of Bastar and Narayanpur, performed amazing Mallakhak Kala with their companions.

On the stage, the artists performed amazing postures of skills, art and gymnastics on the pillar, thrilling the audience. This presentation proved that the talents of remote Vananchal are now registering their identity till the World Forum. Thousands of spectators present at the ceremony stood up and appreciated these artists with applause and described them as the pride of Chhattisgarh. This is the same party that won the heart of the entire country by winning India’s Got Talent Season 10 in 2023. Apart from this, these artists have also waved India in international competitions.

Abujhmad Mallakhamb Academy, who is trained by 2018, has been trained by the children of tribal areas by giving them a national and international recognition. So far, more than 500 national medalists of this academy have been ready and more than 50 children are staying here and are duly training of education and malakhamb. His instructor Manoj Prasad has given these children a world -class platform with his hard work, dedication and passion.
