New Delhi: Mahindra Racing has shown its new Formula E car, called the M12Electro. The launch comes after a strong Season 11, where the Indian team came up in fourth position in the championship. It was Mahindra’s best result in years, earning more points than in the previous three seasons combined.
The team now aims to keep improving in Season 12, which will begin with the Sao Paulo E-Prix on December 6, 2025. However, Mahindra is not going to change the driver line-up for the new season. Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara will continue to race for the team, while Kush Maini will return as the reserve driver.
Mahindra M12Electro features
The M12Electro has a new look, featuring metallic red, gloss white, and carbon black colours. Since Mahindra is one of the original Formula E teams, the car includes 12 stripes on its body, marking each year of the team’s journey in the championship. The design also connects more closely with Mahindra’s electric vehicle division. The car now carries the “Born EV” logo, which is also seen on Mahindra’s new electric models like the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Another big update is the arrival of Valvoline as a new official partner. The well-known lubricant brand’s logo appears on the car for the first time.
