New spy shots of Thar Roxx with suspension upgrades and a different alloy-wheel design point towards an upcoming update
Mahindra Thar Roxx has been , this time with largely uncovered bodywork and camouflage concentrated around its alloy wheels. New spy shots also provide a closer look beneath the SUV, confirming DaVinci suspension upgrade.
Thar Roxx Spied With Different OG’s Alloy Wheels
One of the clearest changes is the wheel design. These new alloys are similar to Thar OG’s alloys, suggesting Mahindra could extend that design to Roxx soon. Beyond the wheels, exterior styling looks largely familiar. Circular headlamps, the distinctive grille, broad wheel arches, side steps and five-door proportions continue.

DaVinci Suspension Update Confirmed
The bigger change sits beneath the bodywork. New underbody and wheel-well spy shots offer a clearer view of suspension setup. DaVinci suspension, recently introduced on Thar OG, will make its way to Roxx soon.
Current Thar Roxx already uses frequency-dependent damping. The DaVinci upgrade would build on this with revised internal valving, aimed at improving the balance between bump absorption and body control. Actual ride improvements will depend on Roxx-specific tuning.

Focus On Ride Comfort And Body Control
An upgrade to the damping system could be particularly relevant to Roxx’s role as a family-oriented lifestyle SUV. Its five-door layout makes it more practical for regular passenger use, where comfort over broken roads and control over repeated bumps matter alongside off-road capability.
Powertrains to continue
Mahindra Thar Roxx currently starts at Rs 12.52 lakh, with top-spec variants priced at around Rs 23.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The lineup includes MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L and AX7L trims, along with Star Edition.
Engine options comprise a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel, paired with 6-speed manual or torque-converter automatic transmissions. Petrol versions produce 160 bhp and 330 Nm with the manual, rising to 174 bhp and 380 Nm with the automatic.
Diesel versions deliver 150 bhp and 330 Nm with the manual, while automatic variants offer up to 172 bhp and 400 Nm. Rear-wheel drive is available with both engines, while 4WD is exclusive to diesel variants.
Feature loaded
Depending on the variant, equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Higher variants also offer a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.
With DaVinci suspension and revised alloy wheels, updated Thar Roxx could command a premium over corresponding existing variants. The extent of any price increase will become clear at launch.
