New Delhi: Mahindra has announced a major breakthrough in its electric vehicle journey, having sold over 30,000 electric SUVs (eSUVs) in India within just seven months. The company shared this achievement through a social media post, stating that what started as a belief to ‘Unlimit India’ has now grown into an “electric roar” on Indian roads.
Mahindra’s latest generation of electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, have contributed significantly to this momentum. These models are part of Mahindra’s Born Electric (BE) range, which aims to redefine India’s EV space with futuristic styling, advanced technology and a fresh brand identity.
It started with a belief to Unlimit India, and that belief has grown into an electric roar of over 30,000 Mahindra eSUVs on Indian roads in just 7 months.

In its post, the company thanked customers for choosing to “Scream Electric” with Mahindra’s eSUVs. Mahindra added that this is only the beginning, as it plans to expand its electric portfolio further in the months ahead, with more BE models being prepared for both domestic and global markets.
Mahindra BE 6e & XEV 9e details
The Mahindra BE 6e price in India starts at Rs 18.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e starts at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Both eSUVs come equipped with Level 2+ ADAS and can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.
In terms of performance, the BE 6e can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, while the XEV 9e takes around one second more to hit the same mark. Mahindra claims that both models offer a driving range of up to 500 km on a single charge. For passenger safety, the electric SUVs also offer seven airbags as standard.
