New Delhi: Mahindra is preparing a facelifted version of the Scorpio N, which is expected to launch in India between January and March next year. This will be the SUV’s mid-cycle update and Mahindra’s second facelift planned for 2026, after the XUV 7XO, which is the updated version of the XUV700. It is expected that there could also be new exterior trim elements and fresh alloy wheel designs. The wheel size is expected to stay the same at 18 inches.
Recent spy shots of the 2026 Scorpio N facelift show a heavily camouflaged test vehicle, but some changes are still noticeable. According to information shared by Autocar India, the overall shape and stance of the SUV will remain the same, as Mahindra is not expected to make changes to the metal body panels. Instead, updates will be limited to plastic and trim parts. The facelift is likely to get revised headlights and taillights, along with updated fog lamps.
2026 Scorpio N facelift interior and features
Inside, details are still limited, but the Scorpio N facelift is expected to get a noticeable feature update. Based on Mahindra’s recent launches, the biggest change could be a larger infotainment system. The current 8-inch touchscreen is likely to be replaced with a 10.25-inch unit, similar to the one seen on the Thar Roxx. The three-row seating layout will continue, keeping the SUV practical for families.
Feature-wise, the updated Scorpio N is expected to retain the Level ADAS package that was added recently. Other features likely to continue include dual-zone climate control and the 12-speaker Sony sound system. Mahindra may also add a few smaller convenience features, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
2026 Scorpio N facelift mechanical changes
There are no expected mechanical changes. The facelifted Scorpio N will continue with the same engine options, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both engines will be offered with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. However, the diesel version will continue to offer four-wheel drive on selected higher variants.
2026 Scorpio N facelift price estimate and rivals
In terms of pricing, the current Scorpio N is priced between Rs 13.2 lakh and Rs 23.99 lakh. With the facelift and added features, prices are expected to start at around Rs 14 lakh and go up to roughly Rs 26 lakh.
The Scorpio N does not have a direct rival in India as a seven-seat, ladder-frame SUV. However, buyers may still consider alternatives such as the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar, depending on their budget and features.
