Note down the ingredients of kheer
1 big size sweet potato, 2 tbsp desi ghee, 4 cups full fat milk, a pinch of saffron (optional), ½ cup sugar or as per taste, ½ tsp green cardamom powder, 2 tbsp chopped pistachios and take separately for garnish, 2 tbsp chopped almonds and take separately as per requirement for garnish, 2 tbsp chopped cashews… also take a little extra for garnishing. Sweet Potato Pudding
- First of all, you have to wash and peel the sweet potato thoroughly and then grate it.
- Now add two tablespoons of desi ghee in the pan. After it melts, add grated sweet potato to it.
- Roast the sweet potatoes on medium flame while stirring for at least 5 to 6 minutes.
- When the sweet potato becomes soft, then add milk to it. You have to cook it well till it boils.
- When the milk starts boiling well, add saffron threads to it, due to which the aroma will come out well and the flavor will also be observed well.
- You have to cook the kheer on low flame for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After this, add half a cup of sugar or as per requirement.
- Along with sugar, you have to add half a teaspoon of green cardamom powder in the kheer.
- When the kheer starts becoming thick, add pistachios, almonds and cashews to it. Cook the kheer for 1-2 more minutes. Now it is ready to serve.
Those fasting can also eat kheer
First of all, take out the kheer in a bowl. Garnish it with remaining pistachios, almonds, cashews and enjoy. After this, serve it to all the family members like Prasad. The best thing is that people fasting can also eat sweet potato kheer, because it is fruitless.
