Shiva Navratri festival will be celebrated in Ujjain Mahakal temple

6 February: Shiva Navratri festival will start from this day. Special adornment of Lord Mahakal will be done and 11 Brahmins will start reciting Rudrabhishek.

7th February: On the second day of Shiva Navratri, Lord Mahakal will be adorned with new clothes and special worship will be performed.

8 February: On this day, Sheshnaag of Lord Mahakal will be decorated. Along with this, Ekadash-Ekadashani Rudrapath will be performed.

9 February: Lord Mahakaal will be adorned on the fourth day of Shiva Navratri. On this day Baba Mahakal will be adorned with Katra, Mekhala, Dupatta, Mukut, Mundmal, Umbrella, Garland and garland of fruits.

10 February: On this day, the image of Lord Mahakal will be decorated, in which the Lord will be dressed in yellow colour. Baba will be decorated with a crown, head garland and a garland of fruits.

11 February: On this day, Lord Mahakal will be decorated with Holkar. Besides, Lord Shri Chandramoleshwar will also be worshiped in the Naivaidya room.

12 February: This will be the seventh day of Shiva Navratri. On this day Lord Mahakal will be worshiped in the form of Uma-Mahesh. Baba Mahakal will be dressed in brown clothes and will also be made to wear a crown, mundamaal and a garland of fruits.

13 February: On this day Lord Mahakal will be decorated with red colored clothes and will be made to wear a crown, mundamaal and garland of fruits.

14 February: On the ninth day of Shiva Navratri, Lord Mahakal will appear to the devotees in the form of Shiva Tandava.

15 February: The festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated on this day. Lord Mahakal will be dressed in Saptadhan mask. During this period, Lord Mahakal will continuously give darshan to the devotees for about 44 hours.
