Mumbai: An FIR has been registered against Anant Garje, an aide of Maharashtra Minister Pankaja Munde, on charges of abetment to suicide. His wife was found dead in Worli area of ​​Mumbai. Dentist Gauri Palve-Garge, wife of Anant Garge, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Environment and Climate Change and an aide of BJP leader Pankaja Munde, allegedly committed suicide. The deceased’s father Ashok Maruti Pawle has filed a complaint against Anant Garje, alleging that his daughter was tortured and harassed by her husband.

After the complaint was registered, Garje surrendered at Worli Police Station. According to officials, Gauri committed suicide by hanging herself at her home on Saturday, following which Ashok Maruti Pawle filed a complaint against Anant Garje and his brother Ajay Garje on Sunday. The couple got married a few months ago in February. Worli police station has registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR). More information is awaited in the matter.
