Maharashtra man alleges minor son from first marriage elopes with his second wife | Details

Beed: A man in Maharashtra’s Beed district reached the police station on Sunday, claiming that his second wife eloped with his minor son from the first marriage. The police have registered the case in the Kaij Police.

As per the police, the complainant has two sons and two daughters from his first wife. The man got married four years ago. In his complaint, the man alleged that his second wife and his minor son from the first marriage eloped when he had gone to Mumbai recently to take part in a religious event.

The family was taken aback

The complainant further said that the family was surprised after his son-in-law received an e-challan, which was issued by the Hyderabad traffic police for an alleged traffic violation. It was then that the man concluded that his minor son and his second wife eloped using his son-in-law’s bike, the official said, as per news agency PTI. According to the police, efforts are being made to trace the man’s second wife and his son.

Similar incident in Haryana

In a similar incident from Haryana’s Nuh, a man was in shock when his realised that his son from his first marriage had escaped with his second wife. The man had remarried following the death of his first wife.

The man then filed a police complaint, after which the police started probing the incident. The incident soon became a talk of the town. According to reports, the son took his father’s second wife to the court where they got married. After their marriage, they disappeared, following which the man filed a case in the incident.

Authorities, however, said that both individuals are adults. According to the man, his son used to show respect to his stepmother. It was unclear when their relationship turned romantic, and they decided to elope.
