Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant said India is fast advancing towards the goal of achieving ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047 with a clear roadmap of having USD 5 trillion economy.
Speaking at the second edition of the News9 Global Summit in Germany’s Stuttgart, Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant added, “Maharashtra is the economic powerhouse in terms of economic strength. The state contributed 13.5 pc to India GDP in 2023-24. Maharashtra continues to remain a destination for national as well as global investors attracting a total of India’s 31 per cent FDI in 2022-2024.”
Committed to infrastructure building: Samant
He also said Maharashtra government is also committed infrastructure in his state under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Devendra Fadnavis.
“Under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Devendra Fadnavis, deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar, our government is committed to infrastructure projects including Samruddhi Mahamarg, coastal roads and smart townships and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.”
‘Maharashtra secured Rs 16 lakh cr in investment’
Samant also deliberated upon the startup projects in the state and said, “Under the startup ecosystem and innovation, Maharashtra leads India with 27,000 plus registered startups. Maharashtra has led India’s industrial growth, innovation and landscape.”
“At the World Economic Forum (WEF), Maharashtra secured Rs 16 lakh crore worth with leading global companies across the sectors including, Electric vehicles, semiconductors, logistics, renewable energy. This key investment reflects not only investors but also confidence and policy readiness and infrastructure capability,” Maharashtra Industries Minister outlined.
