Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has commenced the safe return of 106 pilgrims stranded in Nepal, following coordinated rescue and transit efforts undertaken under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis .
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the state government coordinated with the concerned authorities to ensure the pilgrims’ safe movement from Nepal to Patna. Necessary logistical support was provided, including arrangements for their onward rail journey to Maharashtra.
At 7:36 a.m., all 106 pilgrims safely departed from Patna for Nagpur aboard Train No. 17609. The state government said continuous coordination is being maintained to ensure the pilgrims complete their journey safely and reach their homes without difficulty.
The Chief Minister’s Office stated that the Maharashtra government remains committed to assisting its citizens during emergencies and will continue monitoring the pilgrims’ return until all of them safely arrive in the state.
