CM Yogi advised the youth to stay away from drugs and mobile addiction in the 93rd Founder’s Week celebration of Maharana Pratap Education Council. Emphasis was laid on considering technology as an opportunity, not losing courage and adopting healthy competition.

Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that today the youth are facing two big challenges – drug addiction and mobile or smartphone addiction. He warned that if the youth do not stay away from these two drugs, it will be harmful for their future, family and nation. CM said that only by avoiding drugs the youth will be able to perform their duties properly.

Youth advised to be cautious during main festival

Chief Minister Mahayogi was presiding over the closing ceremony of the 93rd Founder’s Week of Maharana Pratap Education Council organized in the auditorium of Gorakhnath University. Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh was present as the chief guest.

CM Yogi said that the drug mafia constantly tries to trap the youth, hence the youth, teachers and academic institutions all have to remain alert. He appealed to the youth that if the enemy of the country tries to enter the society in some form or the other, do not give him a chance.

Excessive use of smartphone will weaken brain and vision

Chief Minister Yogi advised the youth to reduce their smartphone habit. He said-

  • Excessive use of mobile affects eyesight.
  • It dulls the brain and weakens the ability to think and understand.
  • Excessive screen time affects both mental and physical abilities.

CM suggested that mobile should be used only when necessary and that too not for more than an hour. Control this habit gradually.

Technology opens the way to new employment opportunities

Preparing the youth for future challenges, CM Yogi said that today the world has entered a new era of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, drone technology and robotics. He said that one should not be afraid of technology. Technology does not reduce employment, but creates new jobs and new opportunities. We have to prepare ourselves mentally and physically for these techniques.

Success comes only through courage, patience and positivity.

The Chief Minister said that only he who does not lose courage wins in life. Negative thinking leads a person to defeat. If all people move forward together in the spirit of “Let’s light the lamp together”, there will be no room left for darkness.

There is no shortcut, success comes through hard work.

CM Yogi described healthy competition and teamwork as an essential part of life. He said that shortcuts never lead to lasting success. As much as technology provides facilities, it also brings new challenges. Youth and educational institutions will have to be prepared for this.

Honoring excellent institutions, teachers, staff and students

At the ceremony, CM Yogi Adityanath and Governor Gurmeet Singh honored the winners of various competitions of Maharana Pratap Education Council including best institution, excellent teacher, excellent employee, excellent attendant, post graduate, graduate, best student of high school-inter. Around 150 awards were given from the platform, while around 700 awards will be distributed through the institutions.

In the main function, CM Yogi and Governor Gurmeet Singh- Prof. Released UP Singh Smriti book ‘Jeevan Value Certificate Collection Curriculum’ (MPPG College, Jangal Dhusad). CM Yogi honored Saurabh Singh, Managing Director of Plaksha Publications, with a memento.

Presence of chief guests and conduct of the program

The welcome address at the ceremony was given by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Surinder Singh. The vote of thanks was expressed by Rajesh Mohan Sarkar and conducted by Dr. Shri Bhagwan Singh. Many ministers, public representatives, Vice Chancellor, educationists, officials of Maharana Pratap Education Council, teachers of related institutions and a large number of students were present in the program.
