Story of Mahabharat Karan: At the end of Dwapara Yuga, the Mahabharata war took place between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. This war between Dharma and Ardham was fought for 18 days on the land of Kurukshetra. In the end, Pandavas i.e. religion won this war. There are stories of many heroes in the Mahabharata war, which are still heard and narrated even after 5000 years. One name among these warriors was Karna. Karna was the son of Sun God and Mother Kunti. Karna supported the Kauravas and his friend Duryodhana in this war.
Karna took part in this war after lying on the bed of arrows of grandfather Bhishma. Then after the killing of Dronacharya, Duryodhana appointed Karna as the chief commander of the Kauravas. Karna was killed by Arjun in the battlefield, but do you know that in the battlefield, Karna had given life to Yudhishthir, Bhima, Nakul and Sahadev. He only tried to kill Arjun. Karna had given this promise to mother Kunti
In fact, even before the war of Mahabharata started, Lord Shri Krishna had told Karna that he was the eldest Pandava and should come and fight on his behalf, but Karna refused to give up the friendship of Duryodhana. Mother Kunti had also met Karna and told that he was the eldest brother of her son Pandavas. After knowing everything, Karna had given a promise to Mother Kunti. Karna had given a promise to mother Kunti that her count of five sons would never deteriorate.
No Pandava was killed except Arjun.
Karna had told Mother Kunti that he would not kill any Pandava except Arjun in the battlefield. He had said, Mother, if Arjuna gets martyred in the battlefield then I will remain alive and if I die then Arjuna will remain alive. Because of this promise given to Mother Kunti, Karna left Yudhishthir, Bhima, Nakul and Sahadev alive in the battle of Kurukshetra.
