As soon as Magh Mela 2026 begins in Prayagraj, a great confluence of faith is being seen on the banks of Sangam. Magh Mela will start from 3 January and continue till Mahashivratri on 15 February 2026. During this period many major baths, festivals and religious events will take place. For the successful organization of the first bathing festival Paush Purnima, the district administration and the police department had made extensive preparations, the effect of which was clearly visible at the ground level. The security arrangements of the fair are said to be unprecedented. Despite the severe cold, there is no visible decrease in the faith and enthusiasm of the devotees.
