Magh Mela 2025: Bus every 10 minutes from Kashi to Sangam, 366 buses in the field. Magh Mela 2025 Varanasi To Prayagraj Bus Service

Regarding Magh Mela 2025, the transport system from Varanasi to Prayagraj Sangam has been intensified. 366 roadways buses have been reserved. Devotees will get the facility of AC, Non AC and Janrath buses every 10–15 minutes.

Varanasi. After the success of Kumbh Mela, now the procession of faith is ready to move towards Magh Mela. Magh Mela is going to start in Prayagraj from January 3, where lakhs of devotees will take a holy bath in the Sangam. In view of this huge crowd, Varanasi Roadways Region has started extensive preparations regarding traffic arrangements. For the convenience of the devotees, bus service will be provided from Kashi to Sangam Nagri at an interval of every 10 to 15 minutes.

366 buses will be deployed from Varanasi region

To facilitate the movement of devotees during Magh Mela, a total of 366 buses have been reserved from Varanasi Roadways area. Of these, 65 buses will be operated from Banaras station area, so that devotees do not face any inconvenience on major bathing festivals.

Operation from Kashi, Chandauli and Ghazipur depots

Buses will be operated from Kashi, Chandauli, Ghazipur and other depots under Varanasi region. Every year lakhs of devotees go from Varanasi area to Prayagraj to take bath in Sangam. Devotees coming from India and abroad reach Kashi from Prayagraj and take bath in the Ganga. In such a situation, after rail, bus service is being considered the most important means of transport.

Special arrangements on eight major bathing festivals

According to the Transport Department, the first Snan Parv will start from January 3. During Magh Mela, a total of 8 major bathing festivals will take place including Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchami, Purnima and Mahashivratri. Considering the number of devotees these days, the frequency of buses will be increased.

Facility of AC, Non AC and Janrath buses

Varanasi Zone Regional Manager Parshuram Pandey said that AC, non-AC and Janrath buses have been reserved for the devotees by the Transport Department. Bus service will be provided every 10-15 minutes from Kashi to the devotees going to take bath in Sangam, so that the journey can be safe and convenient.

Focus on the convenience of devotees

The Transport Department claims that special attention will be paid to the availability of buses, timely operation and crowd management during the Magh Mela. The aim is that the devotees can reach Sangam without any problem and return safely after taking a dip of faith.
