Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the Morena Solar Plus Storage Project. This is the first project in India to provide stable renewable energy at ₹ 2.70 per unit tariff. Madhya Pradesh is now becoming a leading state in the energy sector.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that he is proud that Madhya Pradesh has created a new identity at the national level with the launch of Solar Plus Storage Project in Morena. It is the first project in India to provide a record minimum ₹ 2.70 per unit tariff providing renewable energy.
The Chief Minister said that the established capacity of various sources of energy in Madhya Pradesh is continuously increasing. By the year 2025, the solar energy capacity has reached 5 thousand MW, which is targeted to take 33 thousand MW by 2035. For this, the state government has given attractive incentives to investors under the Industrial Promotion Policy, Renewable Energy Policy 2025 and Pump Hydro Policy 2025.
Virtual address at CII International Energy Conference
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the CII International Energy Conference held at Hotel Taj in New Delhi on Monday from his residence. Union Ministerial Minister Prahlad Joshi, Minister of State for Environment and Tourism Muwiyath Mohammed, CII and Representatives of ED India and representatives of the industry were present in the program. During this time, the Chief Minister also invited to organize the next International Energy Conference in Madhya Pradesh.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, towards net zero
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is now becoming a big center of construction activities, not only the heart of India. Global conditions are changing rapidly and India is moving forward with confidence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that, realizing the resolutions of “Make in India” and “developed India”, an India is being created which will be safe, competent and giving direction to the world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, both India and Madhya Pradesh are moving fast towards the Net Zero target. In the coming years, India will become a global guide of clean energy.
India- The center of hope and trust of the world
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today India cannot be ignored globally. Our motherland has now become the hope of the whole world, not just an emerging economy. India is making a strong presence in every field in energy and renewable energy, textile, IT, agriculture, pharma, defense and space. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has made historical progress in the energy sector and has become the world’s major center in clean energy technology.
India has set a target of net-ziro by 2070 and 500 gigawatt non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. Currently, the country has gained 251.5 GW of non-fossil energy capacity and has reached 100 GW of solar module construction capacity.
Madhya Pradesh- Leading States in Energy Sector
The Chief Minister said that initiatives like Green Hydrogen Mission, PM-Kusum Yojana, PM Surya Ghar Free Power Scheme and Smart Grid have given India self-sufficient and continuous direction in the energy sector. Families have also got the benefit of free electricity from these schemes.
Madhya Pradesh is now one of the major energy states of the country-
- Rewa has the largest solar park in the country, which gives energy to big projects like Delhi Metro.
- The city of Sanchi has been made the country’s first solar city.
- India’s largest floating solar project is going on in Omkareshwar.
- The country’s largest pump hydro power storage project has been developed in Neemuch, which has made the state a leader in the field of energy collection capacity.
