Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit Nene has recreated the charm of ‘Maskara’, a song from Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming romantic drama ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, with an expressive performance that has delighted her followers.
In a video shared on social media, Madhuri is seen swaying to the song and expressing its playful romantic mood through graceful hand gestures.
‘Maskara’ is sung by Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar and Vedang Raina and captures the mischievous side of romance, reflecting the timeless ways in which young lovers express their affection.
Sharing the video, Madhuri wrote, “It’s always a joy when music and storytelling come together so beautifully. Couldn’t resist this one.”
‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, directed by Imtiaz Ali, stars Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari and Vedang Raina in key roles. The cast also includes Vinod Nagpal, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajat Kapoor, Sanjay Suri, Manish Chaudhari, Anjana Sukhani, Banita Sandhu and Danish Pandor.
The film revolves around a grandson caring for his terminally ill grandfather, who is living with dementia and revisits memories of a tragic romance dating back to the 1947 Partition of India.
Meanwhile, Madhuri is set to host the upcoming Marathi quiz-based reality game show ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’, which will premiere on Sony Marathi and Sony LIV.
The show is positioned around knowledge, ambition and inspiring personal journeys, with contestants sharing their stories while competing on the quiz platform. The Hindi version, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
Madhuri has previously described ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’ as more than just a quiz show, saying she was excited to meet contestants, hear their stories and witness their dreams unfold on the iconic hot seat.
