Madhoo recalls how Pooja Bhatt whole heartedly embraced nepotism: Why should I apologize?

Veteran actress Madhoo recalled how she was impressed by actress Pooja Bhatt in the 90s for wholeheartedly embracing nepotism without being apologetic.

During one of her throwback interviews, Pooja had answered the question, “Everybody asks this question that Pooja Bhatt only gives successful movies when Mahesh Bhatt makes movies. When she makes films with other directors, she is unable to deliver a hit, and Mahesh Bhatt is making films only for Pooja.”

To this, Pooja had given a savage reply saying, “So what, why should I feel guilty. I am born to Mahesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt is a director and he is making films. This is my privilege. Why should I apologize for my privilege, which God has given me?”

The father and daughter duo have worked together in 13 projects till now, including ‘Daddy (1989)’, and ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991)’.

Coming back to Madhoo, she was recently seen in the movie “Governor,” opposite Manoj Bajpayee.

During her conversation with IANS, Madhoo revealed a fun incident of meeting Bajpyee at a nightclub.

Madhoo shared, “My party gang was not from the film world. It was my college mates and my schoolmates. And we painted Bombay red. From RGs to the 1900s to Raspberry Rhinoceros to Cyclone, all these J49, all the nightclubs. I was a regular. In fact, Manoj Bajpai ji remembers an incident where after his Satya released, he said he came to J49.”

“And there he saw me partying. And he came with his buddies, and he said, “Hey, look there, Madhu, Madhu, Madhu”. And then apparently, I went up to him and introduced myself because I had seen his film and as I told you, I became a fan. So, I believe I went up to him introduced myself,” added the ‘Roja’ actress.
