On the occasion of 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor from the ramparts of the Red Fort and addressed the country. PM Modi made many big announcements in his address, in which he said about the semiconductor that India is working continuously in this sector and by the end of this year, the Indian market will get Made in India chip.

PM Modi told the ramparts of the Red Fort that today we are advancing the goal of the semiconductor in mission mode. By the end of this year, Made in India means that the chips made by the people of India will come in the market. India is investing thousands of crores of rupees for Mission Green.

The Prime Minister said that the plan to set up a semiconductor factory came 50-60 years ago but the files got stuck, hanged and lost. The file of the semiconductor was suppressed 50 years ago. But, now the Made in India Semiconductor will come in the market. Six units have been formed and four more semiconductor plans have been approved.

PM Modi said that by the end of this year, India will make its own semiconductor. Chips made by the people of India will come in the Indian market. In the field of energy, we all know that many countries are dependent on energy. We have to spend millions of crores of rupees for petrol, diesel, gas. We have to make the country self -sufficient with this crisis. Today, solar energy has increased by 30 times in 11 years. He said that India can compete with other countries like Taiwan, America, China and South Korea, which leads to the production, design and export of semiconductor.

So far ten semiconductor units have been announced under the IT Ministry’s Bharat Semiconductor Mission in the country, most of which are focused on assembly and packaging and only two units are dedicated to fabrication.
