Maatrubhumi actress Chitrangada Singh defends Salman Khan’s unprofessional tag, says he looks after even junior crew

New Delhi: Chitrangada Singh has addressed long-standing rumours around Salman Khan’s professionalism, sharing her personal experience while working with him on the upcoming film Maatrubhumi. Speaking to NDTV at the Yuva event, the actress made it clear that her time on set did not match the stories she had heard earlier. The film, which features Salman Khan in the lead, is expected to release in theatres this year and has already drawn attention for its subject and cast.

Chitrangada Singh on Salman Khan’s professionalism

Recalling what she had heard before signing the film, Chitrangada Singh stated, “People said a lot of things about Salman, like schedules would be stretched and he might not be on time. People used to say he is unprofessional, but he is amazing.” She further shared, “He treats everyone with love, looks after others, and shows concern even for crew members. He was very approachable and has that amazing quality of noticing the least visible person on set, whether it is a lightman or the fourth AD. He would ask whether they had a break and their food on time, and how they were being treated. To still have that concern after so many years in the industry is amazing. People said he wouldn’t come early, but he came early because I was shooting early.”
